🥜 This Skinny & Kids Approved Peanut Butter Recipes Are Everything .

It takes you 10 min to make your peanut butter! It tastes a lot better than healthy store bought ones because you’re using premium ingredients. Plus, it will cost you much much less!! It’s honestly ridiculous how expensive healthy peanut butter jars are! And it lasts for more than 3 months in the fridge.

 So here you go:

INGREDIENTS

BABIES AND TODDLERS

you can introduce peanut butter around the age of 8 months for your baby if you don’t have any family history. If you do, it’s recommended to introduce it at 1 y.

600g raw peanuts (don’t get the ones that are already roasted, they contain salt) I get mine from Rifai .

TODDLERS WITH A SWEET TOOTH (AND YOU)

  • 600g raw peanuts (don’t get the ones that are already roasted) I get mine from Rifai .

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (when you use a sweetener, you will need to add coconut or peanut oil to have a smooth butter)

  • 3,5 tablespoons honey (or less, depends on how your and your toddler sweet tooth is)

  • Pinch of salt (I use Himalayan salt) for extra flavor

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by roasting the peanuts. All other recipes will suggest that you roast them in your oven but don’t use your oven, some will burn and some will stay raw. Get a big bottom pan and roast them in several batches (2 batches if the bottom is big enough) on your stove top. Put them on high heat and keep on stirring and moving the pan. The peanuts will start changing color to golden brownish. The picture here is exactly the color we want. Not lighter. But not burnt! This step takes around 5 to 10 minutes maximum.

  2. Put the roasted peanuts in a food processor. Open the lid and scrape down the sides every 10 seconds to ensure that all peanuts are combined and will form the butter. Keep on doing so until you reach the smoothness you like. (It can become super creamy if you want it to, you just have to be patient) This step takes at least five minutes. The more you process them the creamier your peanut butter.

  3. STOP HERE IF IT’S FOR YOUR BABY

  4. Add 2 tablespoon of coconut oil (or any vegetable oil) You can also use a nut oil like macadamia oil, but coconut oil will enhance the flavor big time, but if you are not using a sweetener, you don’t need to add oil. (Honey or any sweetener will thicken the butter)

  5. Add the salt

  6. Add the sweetener: (honey if for your toddler, stevia if its for you and you’re counting calories) We add 3,5 tablespoons (which makes it SWEEEEET) but you start adding one tablespoon at a time until you reach the sweetness that you want. You can skip this step if you want.

  7. Store it in the fridge in a closed container for more than 3 months.
